I can’t imagine what to do with that much money…

Supporting a charity that does a mission you relate to seems a good idea.
I would like to get Hogwarts castle as my new home. Or get my own private island. A life supply of peanut butter and cookies? Or is that an unwise answer? ?

I think I would use most of the money in helping some of my family members paying their mortgages and the rest to travel around the world. I love travelling and there are many places that I haven’t seen yet. If something would be left I’d probably use it to fund some research lines that are underfunded the research about malaria or tropical diseases that affect poor people like.

I would buy a house, then put whatever is left into investments for retirement! Then the next day I would go back to work. Pretty boring, I know…

A million pounds is a lot of money! I’d go travelling around the world for a couple of years. When I came back I’d give some to charity (much more than £1000!) and then I’d probably go back into science as a bit of a hobby.
