      Yes! Photochemistry can be used to kill pathogens! UV light is already used to sterilise equipment. It does this by damaging the DNA of the bacteria and damaging other parts of the bacterial cells.
      The problem with using photochemistry to treat pathogens when inside people is that UV light damages humans cells as well as bacteria (think really bad Sunburn).
