I’ve always really wanted to know how things work. I love problem solving and that’s what science is all about. I spend all day in the lab trying to make new chemicals and when you solve a problem you’ve been working on for days or weeks or even months, it the best feeling ever!

I love learning new, difficult and challenging things. Science is a constant brick wall of challenges. You never get bored or have nothing to do.

I picked science because I really like solving puzzles and figuring things out. In science, I get to do a little bit of that every day.

Because I was very keen in knowing all the secrets of mother nature and I thought that getting a Biology degree would be the best way to answer all my questions. Then I realised that for every answer I got 10 questions more. So I decided to get a PhD and at some point I realised that the best way to get more knowledge was to look for it out there. So I became a scientist.

I was always very curious about my surroundings and I really enjoy the process of learning new things and cracking puzzles – those are all things you get to do in science!
