It’s really hard work. And it can be very difficult when you think something will work and it doesn’t. That’s really soul destroying but when you manage to fix it or get something to work, the job is definately worth it!

It’s a many, long hours job, and sometimes things don’t work – all that effort down the drain. It’s disappointing, tiring and sad sometimes. This is the common description you will hear from many scientists (at least, biologists). This is the hardest part. Nonetheless, these scientists will also be the ones to tell you how rewarding it is when you finally crack the puzzle – that amazing feeling of making a little bit more sense of the world.
