No, not at all. I changed my mind about what I wanted to do many times. And I think that’s alright. I really like science, and I’m very passionate about by job as a scientist!
But I also wanted to be an astronaut-ballerina (yes, both at the same time!) when I was small, so I don’t think I am the best person to give advice on career paths 😉

        Hi 469antf23,
I didn’t immediately decide after school that I wanted to be a scientist, mostly because I didn’t really know that was even possible. Not many people in my family have studied at university, and none of them have done a PhD. I think my plan was originally to become a science teacher. I think it was only about 3 or 4 years into my degree that I found out how one becomes a scientist, and that it’s something I might like to do.
