• Question: could you use radioactivity to make bacteria stronger and attack pathogens ?

      Yes in a way–radiation can cause mutations in DNA, which can make bacteria stronger sometimes. But it could also make them weaker, as mutations are random. But the bacteria in our body that fight pathogens are already pretty good at their job, so I’m not sure we could easily make them better.

      Also, if you made bacteria radioactive then that radioactivity might poison you, as well as the pathogen!
