• Question: Can climatic engineering, by the use of different planktons make a significant contribution to reducing the effect of global warming?

      This is not my area so I’m not sure but I would guess that if it worked then it could have a significant impact on global warming. But there are many factors to consider such as food chains and the ethical implactions of genetically modifying animals.

      It’s an interesting idea that I’m not too familiar with. I suppose it would also depend on how well phytoplankton can be converted into another biomass for long-term carbon storage.
